Reflection:
Today we had our final practical.I finally decided to cook the modifed Japanese Beef and Rice Bowl (Gyudon) instead of the grilled fish with rice because the japanese beef and rice bowl has more vege and it will be more healthy. It was sucessful :) After i cooked the beef, there was a delicious aroma coming from it.Also,i added the vege-fruit salad and the broccoli so the dish looked very appetising and i just wanted to gorge on it.Just by looking at the dish, you can tell that it is quite healthy, looking at the broccoli (vege) and the vege-fruit salad.Even the beef has spring onion on it and spring onion is healthy :) This dish will also gurantee that the person eating it will be feeling very full after eating the dish. While eating the dish, the person can drink the warm green tea and that should make the dish even more tasty. The beef is also quite soft because i used corn starch.Im sure the students will be able to chew the beef, also i takes a shorter time to chew because it is soft,so it will be easier for the students because their recess time is short.

Reflection:

Today's practical was alright,i added some other ingredients to the seasoning and it tasted better this time.I forgot to bring the sesame seeds for the rice, but it does not look that bad. This post does not have a lot of photos because i was busy seasoning and cutting the beef and veges that i dint have time to take photos.I have learnt that :
  • The vege-fruit salad does not need any dressings to go with it,it taste great like that.

Reflections:

Today was the 3rd practical,i thought it was quite good.My friend gave me some sesame seeds and i sprinked it over my rice i thought it looked nice so i told myself to bring sesame seeds next time for the modified one.I learned that beef is very easy to fry,and it only takes a while for the beef to be fully cooked.I like how the dish looked, except i think there is too much rice, but other then that, the dish looks very colourful and appetising.

My final product :After i took out the fish,i placed it in my tupperware then poured the sauce over it and garnished it with the pepper and finally flipped the bowl for the rice to come out.

After i packed my tupperware,i started washing the dishes with my partner

After we washed and dryed the dishes.

My partner taking the rubbish bag, tying it and throwing it away.

Reflections:

Today is my first practical,it was not bad and quite fun.I have learned that

  • we should not use too much of the equipments because we have to wash the equipments and it wastes water and soap.
  • You cannot add too little water into the rice cooker for the rice too cook because the rice will turn our too dry
  • After scooping out the rice,i should fill the rice cooker with water so that the rice will come out easier when washing.
  • It is necessary to keep your work place neat and tidy because if you need space on your work place and it is messy and there is no space,it would be quite tedious.
  • If you put too much excess liquid into the rubbish bag, after the practical ended and i need to throw away the plastic bag,the bag was leaking out liquid at the bottom.

I have learnt a lot from this practical i and i try to correct the mistakes i made.
